We are excited to announce that registration for the Softball/Baseball Little League 2024 Spring Season is now available at www.avonlittleleague.com!  A few things to note:

1. We will be in need of coaches at all league levels.  When you register your athlete, please consider volunteering as a Manager or Assistant Coach.  All teams will be capped at 12 players, so if we don't have enough coaches, unfortunately the Board may need to turn a few athletes away and refund their registration (the last athletes to register without a coaching parent would be the ones to go).  PLEASE help us ensure this DOES NOT need to happen!  Every kid who wants to play should have the opportunity to play!
• If you volunteer to Coach, the league will provide you with training/tools/resources (including sample practice plans) to help you be successful in creating a positive developmental environment for our athletes.
2. Teams are randomly assigned for Rookie, Coach Pitch, Tee Ball and Tot Ball.  The only way to ensure your athlete is able to play on the same team as a friend is if a parent of each athlete volunteers to serve as Manager and Assistant Coach.  As in years past, Minors/Majors players will go through an evaluation/selection process to assign teams.
3. Here are a few initial important dates/time frames to know:

   March 16:  Minors/Majors Registration Deadline (no late registrations will be accepted)

   March 24:  Rookie/Coach Pitch/Tee Ball/Tot ball Registration Deadline (no late registrations will be accepted)

   March 24: Minors/Majors Evaluations (Both Baseball and Softball)

   March 25:  Minors/Majors Team Selections (Both Baseball and Softball)

   Early April (TBD):  Minors/Majors Practices Begin 

   April 15: Thurman Munson Jr. & Sr. Registration Deadline

   April 21:  Coaches Workshop/Meetings (All Coaches)

   End of April (TBD):  Thurman Munson Jr. & Sr. Evaluations and Selections

   Early May (TBD):  Rookie/Coach Pitch/Tee Ball/Tot Ball Practices Begin

   May 19:  Picture Day
